Chapter 15- Lights flash...

Chapter 15
Lights flash...

A bright light shone into my eyes. Wait, then something was shoved onto my face, my mouth. An oxygen mask. I then remembered to breathe, but when I tried all that came out was a dry wisp of air. I then heard a lady say "She needs some extra support. Get the breathing tube." Next thing I knew a needle was stuck into my neck with a circle around it, the tube. Air was then pumped into my neck, and I started breathing normally again.
And then, a familiar voice said "Take her into the High-T Recovery Room," It was the doctor!, wait, he could be in the afterlife. I am so confused. I shouted the loudest I could. "WHERE AM I?! I am so confused. Am I still in the afterlife, dead? OR WAS THAT A DREAM?!?!" "Calm down!" said another voice. "I wont calm down until somebody tells ME what is going on!" "Tell her. Don't keep it from her." said a small, cute, familiar voice.
Who is this? A voice so small, so cute and loving, so  familiar. A voice that reminded me of home, comforted me, made me laugh. Halli. Halli! No, this couldn't be right, she couldn't be in Chesna, in this dangerous time, she needed to get out of here! She could get killed!
"Halli!" I shouted as a sat up straight. Pain went throughout my body, stabbing in my neck, back, legs, I then realized I was attached to many tubes and needles, masks. "Lye down! Please Jane lie down." said the doctor. I lay back down when the pain was too much and closed my eyes. Then, Halli's, small hand touched mine. I opened my eyes to see my sister. My comforting, lovely, sweet sister was here. And then there was another shout. "Didn't anyone hear what I said!? Get her into the High-Tech Recovery Room! She is running low on oxygen and needs support on he legs, needs support on her legs before they go numb! Now take her in!" My bed was then wheeled, Halli still held onto my hand and she explained everything. My smart, young sister explained everything to me, calmly, as if I was the young child.
"Now, Jane, first thing you need to know, this is real life, your not in a dream or dead. Trust me, your safe. You were in a psychological brain universe, well the surgeons were doing a brain surgery, messing with your brain cells and memories. So, that is why all those dreams or things happened. None of it is real. Malcom is alive." "Wait, you saw my dreams and nightmares?" "Yes, Jane. We did. We tried to make the nasty ones go away but when your messing or mixing with the brain, it is hard." "Thank you Halli." I replied, already feeling better, better that I knew what was and what is going on.
Gloriana's voice then came into ear shot. "Thank you Halli," She turned to me. "you lived." She smiled. Joy and relief came across her face. "Hi." I said, not quite knowing what to say. "Hi." She laughed.
I reached the room and a huge screen came down from the ceiling. "Jane," I turned to Gloriana. "We need to show you something. Some things have happened since your surgery started. Bad things." She paused. "Hell has attacked the cities of Light Chesna. Of course nobody was in the city, as everyone has already been transported into the halo or 'hotel'. But, they found the flower pots. An alarm went off when one was opened and we closed the tunnels in time, which is good, but we don't know where Hell's spies are. If they have left Light Chesna or are sneaking around in the cities, or even in the Halo. So, everyone in the hotel have been warned and given a code. In each room their is a secret passage that opens if you have the right code. In case of emergency, everyone will go down the secret passage. All the passages lead to a gigantic room with food, water, blankets, beds, clothes, and curtain changing rooms for each family. This is very very very far down, way below the hotel and the hospital. The same has been done for the people in the Halo. Do you follow me?"
That was a lot to take in. I could barely process, but I got the main points. Basically the hotel and Halo are on lock down. Nobody can go out of them. "Yes. I understand." "Good." She replied as she pointed to the screen. "But we know something they don't. The flower pots have a sensor, so it only lets that family in right?" "Yes. I know that." "But they don't! We got a fingerprint scan and sensor scan and pictures of Hell's spies. So, we know what a couple of the spies look like and what they wear." "That's great." I said as she flicked through the pictures on the screen. "Gloriana?" "Yes, dear." "If we did have to do the secret passage thing soon, I can't do it by myself." "I know. Halli is going to sleep in here. She knows the code and exactly how it works. There are also 2 guards outside you door that will keep you safe. Also Doctor," She looked at the doctor, "Will be sleeping in that room right there." She pointed to a door I hadn't noticed.
A male nurse then rushed in. He started to say something, but stopped when he saw the pictures, his mouth dropped. He started to run out the door, but a guard got there first. The man shouted, painfully loud, "C@3!"  Within 15 seconds 5 other men appeared with guns, but 8 of our guards had gotten there too. Gloriana was rushed out the room with her four bodyguards. 6 guards then came through the room where the Doctor was going to sleep and unattached me to the tubes and needles that connected me to the wall. One of them grabbed Halli and picked her up, right before a gun shot where she was standing. They rolled me through a wall passage and down a dark passage. An alarm sounded. Lights flashed. Doors slam. Lights go dark.

Chapter 15 Preview- A little twisted

Chapter 15 Preview
A little twisted

I turned my head, slowly, quietly, as if, not to disturb a little white mouse. And then I saw. I turned my head quickly away and pinched myself, this must be a dream, I came here to escape them, I thought. Time went by and I faced reality, when I heard a voice whisper, "Where am I?" I turned my head and there he sat, eyes wide and tensing muscles. I didn't answer, but I thought.
How is this possible? How could he grab onto me when he was in a wheel chair? I mean, he could jump out of a wheel chair with broken legs, but if so, why isn't he crying, or looks like he's in pain? Right, boys, they don't show emotion. Duh.
Malcom. Malcom now stared me in the eyes. His eyes showed embarrassment, confused, and little bit of anger. "Where am I?!?" He know shouted. "Welcome to the afterlife." I whispered. I then suddenly felt a rush of anger, than sadness, then confused, and then happy, to mad, to so stressed I forgot to breath. Next thing I knew he was shouting at me "Breathe Jane! Breathe! Your face is turning purple!" The stress feeling then past and I breathed the air again. But it wasn't over. Malcom started turning brown, like an old banana, crinkling into a ball. He shouted for help and I tried to run over, but I was stuck to the ground. Malcom now screamed like a little girl, as he was sucked into the ground. I screamed, then cried. I'm useless. I thought.
My attention then turned to a noise, a scratchy, squeaky noise. Then a laugh, an evil laugh, a cruel laugh. It continued and I covered my ears with my hands, curled into a ball and cried more. I was scared, more scared then I have ever been in my whole life. Suddenly, out of know where, my mum, dad, sister, and brother appeared. They were in front of me saying 'stay strong', one by one, and then chanting it all together. I then remembered I have a sister and brother. I had forgotten about them. Totally. I then cried even harder, screamed for help, until I had no voice. Then came a stabbing pain in my wrist and then my back. I released my aching arms from my tight ball, helplessly. Shaking pain, then numbness came to my legs, as I fell into a deep, black, hole. Down Down Down...
A gasp and a bright, white glare.
